1996-00 Club Car – IQ Controller Wiring Conversion Kit

There were two predecessors to the current DC system that Club Car uses today. These were the REGEN1 and the REGEN2 drives. This stood for regenerative capability. This means they are capable of, upon deceleration, a slight recharge of the battery. This was an exciting concept of the golf cart world as it meant longer run times. These two models were only produced for less than five years and were stepping stones to the new IQ system. This, unfortunately, means that there is hardly anything for them in the way of replacement parts or upgrades. Until the original Cart Doctor, good old Roger K. developed the Club Car Regen to IQ Conversion Harness that allowed them to be updated. Now you can get replacement controllers and even upgrades that are plug and play.
