Golf Cart Mufflers That Quiet Your Ride and Protect Your Engine

A worn golf cart muffler does not just make your cart loud. It changes engine back pressure, lets hot gas escape where it should not, and shortens the life of parts around it. Golf Cart Gears: We carry a wide range of golf cart parts, including replacement golf cart mufflers, exhaust pipes, and exhaust gaskets from Club Car OEM, NIVEL, RELIANCE, and Red Hawk—for Club Car DS, Club Car Precedent, Club Car Carryall, EZGO TXT, EZGO RXV, Yamaha G1 through G22, Yamaha Drive, and Yamaha Drive2.

Golf Cart Muffler Brands We Carry

We carry golf cart mufflers from Club Car OEM, NIVEL, RELIANCE, and Red Hawk. These are the same brands trusted by golf cart dealerships and service centers across the USA. Every muffler in our store is built to OEM specifications — meaning it fits, sounds, and performs exactly like the factory original it replaces.

Club Car Golf Cart Muffler

We carry Club Car mufflers for six distinct Club Car platforms. Each engine generation uses a different muffler—always confirm your Club Car year and engine before ordering.

The Club Car DS muffler covers two separate engine generations—the FE290 from 1992 onward and the FE350 from 1996 onward. These are different mufflers with different mounting points. The FE290 club car golf cart muffler at $336.99 is for older DS platforms. The FE350 unit at $511.99 is for later DS models.

For Club Car Precedent owners, two options exist—the FE290 Gas 2004 and up at $385.99 and the 350cc at $385.99. Confirm your precedent engine type before ordering—the FE290 and 350cc use different exhaust configurations.

E-Z-Go Golf Cart Mufflers

We carry the most complete range of EZGO golf cart mufflers in our store—covering every major EZGO gas platform from 1994 through current production.

Muffler — EZGO TXT and Medalist 4-Cycle Gas 1994 to 2003 — MUF-0001 — $307.99 Muffler — EZGO TXT Gas 2004 and up MCI Engines — MUF-0006 — $336.99 Muffler — EZGO RXV Gas 2008 to April 2014, with Kawasaki Motor — MUF-0007 — $336.99 Muffler — EZGO RXV Gas April 2014 and up with Kawasaki Motor — MUF-0008 — $397.99. EZGO RXV Muffler Exhaust Pipe (2008 and up) — 8152 — $182.99 EZGO RXV Muffler Exhaust Gasket 2008 and up — 8153 — $33.99 EZGO Gas 4-Cycle Exhaust Gasket 1991 and up — 4779 — $38.99  EZGO Outer Breather Gasket 1991 and up — 4787 — $33.99

The EZGO TXT muffler separates by engine generation. The TXT 1994 to 2003 uses MUF-0001. The TXT 2004 and up with an MCI engine uses MUF-0006. These are two different parts — using the wrong one means it will not mount correctly.

The muffler for an EZGO golf cart with a Kawasaki motor also has two separate parts split by production date—April 2014 is the cutover. The EZGO RXV Gas 2008 to April 2014 uses MUF-0007. EZGO RXV Gas, April 2014 and up, uses MUF-0008. Always confirm your RXV production month and year when ordering.

For EZGO muffler replacement that includes the full exhaust system—muffler, pipe, and gasket—we recommend ordering all three components together. The EZGO RXV exhaust pipe at $182.99 and the RXV exhaust gasket at $33.99 pair with MUF-0007 or MUF-0008 depending on your year.

Yamaha Golf Cart Muffler

We carry Yamaha golf cart mufflers covering Yamaha G-series platforms from G2 through Drive2—the most complete Yamaha muffler range in our store.

  • Muffler — Yamaha G2 to G14 4-Cycle Gas (1985–1995)
    • SKU: MUF-0002
    • Price: $307.99
  • Muffler — Yamaha G16 to G22 4-Cycle Gas (1996 & up)
    • SKU: MUF-0003
    • Price: $307.99
  • Replacement Muffler — Yamaha Drive (2007–2016)
    • SKU: MUF-0024
    • Price: $522.99
  • Replacement Muffler — Yamaha Drive2 (2017 & up)
    • SKU: 24-042
    • Price: $578.99

The Yamaha G2 muffler and G14 muffler are the same part—MUF-0002 covers the full G2 through G14 4-cycle gas range from 1985 to 1995 at $307.99. For owners searching for a Yamaha G1 muffler—the G1 used a 2-cycle engine and is not covered by MUF-0002. Contact our team for G1 exhaust options.

The Yamaha G16 golf cart mufflers and G22 muffler are both covered by MUF-0003—the single part covering all G16 through G22 4-cycle gas platforms from 1996 onward at $307.99.

For the Yamaha G29 muffler—the G29 is the Yamaha Drive platform from 2007 to 2016. The correct replacement is MUF-0024 at $522.99. This is the most expensive Yamaha muffler in our store and reflects the more complex exhaust configuration on the Drive platform compared to older G-series carts.

The Yamaha Drive2 muffler replacement at $578.99 covers 2017 and up Drive2 platforms—the most current Yamaha gas cart production. The Yamaha golf cart exhaust and Yamaha golf cart muffler silencer on Drive2 models use a design that differs from the older Drive G29 unit, and the two are not interchangeable.

Golf Cart Exhaust Gaskets — Do Not Skip This Part

An exhaust gasket sits between the exhaust manifold and the muffler or pipe connection. When it fails, hot exhaust gas leaks at the joint—creating a ticking noise on cold start and heat damage to surrounding components.

Replacing a golf cart muffler without replacing the exhaust gasket at the same time is a mistake. A used gasket compressed against a new muffler rarely seals as well as a fresh one. We carry exhaust gaskets for EZGO platforms at $33.99 to $38.99—a small investment that protects a much larger one.

Signs Your Golf Cart Muffler Needs Replacing

Your cart is suddenly louder than normal. You hear a rattling or blowing sound from the exhaust area at idle or under load. You see rust, holes, or cracks on the muffler body. Your cart smells strongly of exhaust during normal operation. These are all signs your golf cart muffler is failing.

Replacing a muffler early prevents the failure from affecting other exhaust components. A cracked muffler that continues to run puts heat stress on the exhaust pipe, mounting brackets, and nearby wiring.

Golf Cart Muffler Price Range

Golf cart mufflers in our store range from $307.99 for Yamaha G-series and EZGO TXT platforms up to $578.99 for the Yamaha Drive2. Club Car mufflers range from $336.99 to $550.99 depending on the platform and engine. Exhaust gaskets and pipes start at $33.99. All prices reflect current sale pricing—original retail ranges from $44.87 to $775.85.
