1983-2013 EZGO TXT – Rear Axle Shaft

The EZGO Rear Axle Shaft for select electric and gas models is an exciting system. The axle is made of hardened steel. That is fantastic quality, and it sounds robust; we like it a lot. The splined hub that it mounts in, however, is made of aluminum. We are not sure if you are aware, aluminum is softer than steel, and the axle is prone to stripping the hub out. This is by design so the axle itself does not get damaged.

This golf cart rear axle shaft for 1994 and newer electric fits on the passenger side. It also works for 1983 through 1988 gas-powered but on the driver-side. Are you confused yet? Don’t worry; we will have all the details with year ranges below our little discussion here. It measures sixteen and three-quarter inches long, which is what we ask most customers to verify. If you happen to have a parts manual handy, you should; as it’s the first tool any golf cart owner needs, you can prove that the OEM number matches 20377-G12.
